Quantic Rush

Quantic Rush is a board game where you need to do a race comepetition xith power ups against your friends.
this board game was my first work in Isart Digital. I made it with three other game designers with an imposed theme on "curses".
Game design
We came up with the idea for the game after a complete reboot of the project. By prototyping a few simple concepts adapted from existing games, we realized that the potential of a racing game where actions follow one another had a lot of depth to offer. We then imagined many ways to balance the turns so that players at the back of the race could catch up, we conceptualized features and tested them to see what situations they created, and we did a lot of testing.

a view of the prototype
Despite aiming for a casual audience, we did everything we could to develop deterministic mechanics that didn't require randomness. The goal was for the game to get started quickly and for players to spend little time explaining the rules. As we played through testing, we adjusted the rules based on the freedoms they created.

Trailer
For the trailer, the challenge wasn't really to showcase the game itself, but rather how we were going to present it. So I decided to film some scenes on location to simulate part of the game, and the rest was filmed against a green screen. I then created maps, a Unity scene, and shot footage to illustrate the game's mechanics by superimposing the players. This allowed for a dynamic edit that creates a connection between the game and the potential customer, who is immediately immersed in its world.
